Our last few days in Perth before our whirlwind trip back home to Adelaide for a wedding were spent relaxing, doing a few day trips and getting ready for the flight (including purchasing a set of scales to weigh our luggage!). The picture above was taken at Lesmurdie Falls which is so close to our caravan park in Forrestfield that we didn’t even have to leave the suburb to get to it! As you can see at the moment the Falls are really just a trickle but we reckon it would definitely be worth a look in winter.
We also took a day trip out to Mandurah to visit Heath’s cousin, where we snapped the above photo of a snazzy classic car, and spent some time hanging out in the local village of Kalamunda, which is a bit like Stirling at home. Let’s just say an above average consumption of pastries and coffee were had, as well as a lot of dragging Heath in and out of antique shops, second hand bookshops and the library. There will probably be a bit more on Kalamunda on our return to Perth, as we intend to spend a bit more time there after the Adelaide trip is all over…. stay tuned!
